The GMVA Committee
There are currently eleven GMVA committee members, all locals, who meet monthly to share and discuss issues affecting the village And whatever we get to find out about, as a member, so do you. The GMVA hosts an Annual General Meeting every May and welcomes all our members to come and have a glass of wine, share their thoughts and voice their opinions.
Simon Rubin - Acting Chair
Simon has been on the GMVA committee for about 10 years. His career was as a Senior executive in the Fintech industry. He has a busy life with family commitments plus walking, cooking, travelling and volunteering.
Gill Foley - Treasurer
Gill lives in Great Missenden with her partner and her cat. She is an accountant and has been GMVA Treasurer since 2015. She is also a Trustee at Great Missenden Walled Garden and a Director of the Source Community newspaper.
Marcia Lloyd-Webb - Secretary
In a former life, Marcia was a Registered Physiotherapist and has also run a Prep School in Hampden with her husband. She has lived in Great Missenden for 28 years and helps to keep it looking lovely by organising the village Litter Pick days
Anne Kaneko - Membership Secretary
Anne went from Yorkshire to Japan but is now a staunch supporter of Great Missenden where she lives on the High Street and keeps a watchful eye on village life.
Mike Knox
Mike and family moved to Great Missenden in 1991 and he joined the Village Association in 2019, soon after retiring. His responsibilities to the committee and members cover all matters relating to planning and developments.
Alan Mustoe
Alan says he can’t help but be interested in our community having moved here five years ago. He goes to church, enjoys art and likes meeting people – with or without wine.
Bev Manton
Bev moved to Great Missenden 3 years ago having moved down the hill from Potter Row. She is ex advertising, a copywriter, so always happy to take on anything ‘media’.
Mike Johnstone
Great Missenden Parish Councillor.Lead for HS2
As a councillor on the Great Missenden Parish Council, Mike is pleased to represent the parish council and the hilltop villages on the Great Missenden Village Association.
Amanda Twohey
Amanda is a mum of two and step-mum of three. She can often be found walking her two dogs, a Labrador and a terrible Terrier around the village. In a previous life she worked in the city before moving to the village in 2014.
