Great Missenden is a great place to live and work. This picturesque village in the heart of the Chilterns is only 35 miles northwest of London yet surrounded by the beautiful countryside of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Earliest settlements date back to the 12th century and the High Street, in particular, reflects its long history with an impressive assortment of architecturally interesting buildings. The community is now well served by local shops, schools, churches and play areas.

Great Missenden Village Association was established in 2008 to help maintain and enhance amenities for the benefit of local residents, businesses and visitors.  It aims to protect and improve the area by representing local people and proactively raising issues that affect them. GMVA is a non-political, non-profit making organisation open to all those who live or have a business in the Great Missenden District Council Ward. The boundary area can be found here.

Our Committee of up to 12 volunteers meets once a month and our Annual General Meeting is usually held in October/November. Membership costs £10 per year per household or business and new members are always welcome.
